GCUWCD Rules

GCUWCD RulesThe Gonzales County Underground Water Conservation District (GCUWCD) was created by order of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), formerly the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC), on November 19, 1993. GCUWCD serves the areas of Gonzales County and the southeast portion of Caldwell County. Click here to download a copy of the District's Rules.

GCUWCD Management Plan

GCUWCD Managment PlanSenate Bill 1 (SB 1), enacted in 1997, and Senate Bill 2 (SB 2), enacted in 2001, established a comprehensive statewide planning process, including requirements for groundwater conservation Districts under the Texas Water Code Chapter 36 to manage and conserve the groundwater resources of the State of Texas. This legislation requires that each groundwater conservation District develop a management plan. Click here to download a copy of the District's Management Plan.

GCUWCD District Bylaws

GCUWCD BylawsThe purpose of these Bylaws is to provide for the conduct of the affairs of the Gonzales County Underground Water Conservation District, in conformity with and pursuant to the order of the Texas Natural Resource Commission number 101692-D04, creating the conservation district known as "Gonzales County Underground Conservation District", and operating under the general laws of the State of Texas.
